Mix Mediterranean with Sonoran at CharroVida

SBINSIDER FOOD CRITIC AND GOURMAND GLORIA WOLF| March 30th, 2025
Mix the Mediterranean with the Sonoran Desert and what do you get? You get CharroVida, food for life. Found at the corner of West Ina and Oracle Road this restaurant emphasizes the healthy side on eating Sonoran favorites.
A favorite custom option at CharroVida is to select a bowl. You select the start of the bowl from column A, rice, greens, or tamal, a protein from column B, chickpea chorizo, stead asada, mesquite salmon, chicken or carnitas, and finish with two sides from column C. The sides include items such as roasted Brussels sprouts, calabacitas, street corn, green beans, mushrooms or black beans.
Our group had lunch there. We had terrific service and tried many of the offerings. The burger was large, served on a brioche bun. We all got to try the yuca fries! The cheese enchiladas were served with cilantro rice and your choice of beans. Several of us enjoyed the prickly pear lemonade.
If you have people in your party on special diets, this is the place to go. You can go completely vegan, gluten-free, vegetarian, or keto, depending on your choices.
You can also get margaritas, cocktails, sangria, spritz, beer, and wine, to accompany your meal. Enjoy your meal, your beverages and eat well. Check out CharroVida at this site: https://www.charrovida.com/
